The summer triathlon is the main triathlon held annually in July and is a timed competitive event.

The 2018 Goole Triathlon is on Sunday 15th July.

Due to increasing popularity for this event we have increased the capacity of the event from 100 to 150 places. All places have now been taken.

The Chiller

The chiller triathlon is held annually on New Year's Day.

The Chiller triathlon isn't a serious or timed triathlon. All the competitors stay together during the swim, bike & run stage to brave the cold and help work off the Christmas and new year excesses. Staying together makes it a fun triathlon.

Have I got the correct equipment?
All competitors must:

  • Wear a wet suite for the swim stage of the triathlon.
  • Wear a cycle helmet for the bike stage of the triathlon.

When will I receive my race number?
Your race number, swim cap and Goole Triathlon goodie bag will be handed out at registration time.

What if I can't make the Triathlon?
If you have paid you're entry fee and can't make the triathlon due to personal reasons or injury, you can make your place available to someone else. Just send us an e-mail to confirm the name change.
Is there a current on the River Derwent?
The current in the River Derwent is with the swimmers, however there is very little current in the 500 metre stretch of the river we use.
What happens to the wet gear after the swim stage?
All participants are responsible for looking after their own equipment and arranging for a supporter to collect anything left at each transition point. A volunteer will check each transition point and bring any belongings back to the memorial hall, however Goole triathlon club will not be responsible for any lost or damaged equipment during or after the race.
Are the bikes collected?
Can all entrants be responsible for getting their bikes to starting point at Loftsome Bridge Coaching House, however if you do need help getting your bike from the race registration point of The Hook Memorial Hall to the starting point at Loftsome Bridge, please can you send Goole Triathlon Club an e-mail using the Contact Us form below so we can arrange transport.
Do Goole Triathlon Club host regular training sessions?
No. Currently Goole Triathlon Club don’t run any swimming, cycling or running training sessions.

But our friends at Goole Parkrun host a free, friendly weekly 5km timed session to help with your training.

Every Saturday at 09:00am
